Often, the direct welding of dissimilar metals (ex: steel to aluminum) to one another is not plausible. Our bi-metallic transition inserts allow dissimilar metals to be joined as if they were capable of being welded together. We metallurgically bond the dissimilar materials for you and provide you with a transition piece (transition insert). Our insert provides you with like mating materials at each end of the insert, which you then weld in place. Our inserts create a joint that is:
- durable
- rated to withstand temperature ranges from <-200C to >+450C
- stronger than the tensile strength of the weaker metal

COMBINING CHEMICAL OR PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES:
You may have the need to join dissimilar metallic pipes together. Joining an aluminum pipe to a stainless or steel pipe presents difficulties. ELECTRICAL CONDUCTOR INTERFACE:
Cost effective aluminum bus can be easily transitioned into a copper conductor connection utilizing our copper/aluminum inserts. Simply mate the aluminum side of our provided clad to the aluminum bus in turn leaving a copper surface exposed for any of your conductive needs. Click here for an example.

Our inserts can be used to join structural components of different metals without the problems associated with fastener complexity or cycle deterioration.
